ChurchillTerry’s foundation is a strong team of experienced professionals who are business executives, entrepreneurs, and investors in their own right; people with experience … people who have made payroll, handled complex financial problems, and made difficult decisions. Senior team members include:
- John Terry, the Company’s founder, is a long-time entrepreneur who brings significant tactical experience as well as strategic skills to client engagements. His background provides considerable experience in sales, forecasting and technology. Prior to founding ChurchillTerry, he served in a variety of executive positions with Andrew Corporation and Philips Test & Measurement, N.V. In each position he consistently increased sales by 100 percent or more for his area of responsibility, often decreasing costs or improving efficiency simultaneously. Earlier work in product development resulted in the first successful micro-processor based television transmitter line. John serves as an adjunct professor in the business school at Southern Methodist University, teaching highly-rated courses on entrepreneurship, private equity and venture capital. His views on sales and marketing have appeared in major newspapers, and he has been invited to speak before the Southwest Venture Forum and the Texas Society of CPAs. He sits on the board of the Plano YMCA and the MBA Venture Fund. John holds a bachelors degree in Communications with honors from Valdosta State University, and graduated in the top 10 percent of his MBA class at SMU.
- Brian Bartles is a former entrepreneur, developing and selling an Internet company that provides international sourcing for manufacturers. Prior work included time as an investment analyst with Bear, Stearns & Company. He holds a dual degree from Princeton in Economics and Political Science, where he won an award for his senior thesis on electronic currency trading, and received his MBA from Wharton in 2003.
- Gina Hooper brings valuable technology expertise to the team, with IT experience in both the banking and communications industries. More recently she managed product development for Ericsson then served as part of their strategic planning team. She holds an undergraduate degree in Information Technology from George Mason University and an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
- Kinsley Jones is a career executive with significant experience in organizational development for technology firms, sales growth in both U.S. and international markets, and acquisitions. In prior positions, Kin held P&L responsibility for various groups for almost 20 years, including stints at Electronics Research, Inc., Andrew Corporation and Harris Corporation. - William Dickinson has many years of experience in both finance and technology. He has served as CFO for several DFW firms, with diverse responsibilities in financial management, tax, and information technology. In addition to his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Oral Roberts University, William holds certifications as a CPA, a Certified Management Accountant, a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator. He also has extensive training in both financial planning and business valuations.
- David Smith has a financial background as a former accountant for Mobil Oil where he identified and secured millions of dollars in state tax savings before his departure. He has served as CFO for several organizations and has expertise in partnership accounting and structure, as well as tax accounting. David holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Baylor, as well as an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a Master’s in Computer Science from the University of Dallas.
- Anthony Sirmans brings entrepreneurial experience in sales where he demonstrated an ability to improve performance by 50% to 80% in various metrics, as well as significant operational financial experience in multiple areas including accounts payable, credit/collections, inter-company accounting, and risk analysis. Anthony has generated millions of dollars in savings for prior employers through improved processes and procedures, reducing cash needs, inventory, accounts receivable and documentation requirements.
In addition to these team members, ChurchillTerry has resources with additional expertise in technology, acquisitions, manufacturing, purchasing, sales and marketing, and accounting. These resources can be called upon as required.
